Remember I mentioned I had a couple of silly OP fics in the works? This is number one. It's a new twist on an oooold venerated OP classic. Enjoy! In moderation, though, because this is bound to kill a few braincells with Ze Crack.

The only excuse I have for this 'fic' is that it seemed like a good idea at the time. Unfortunately, since I'm mostly braindead these days, that's not saying much. I've completely stalled on my two serious fics, I spend my few free minutes a day playing stupid computer games (did finish Bioshock though, go me), and trying to find different folk songs to sing before another round of Shule Aroon drives me barking up the wall (don't get me started on the horrible, insipid lullabies I'm supposed to be singing but steadily refuse to).

Also, I've developped this habit of stream-of-thought writing and talking which is starting to worry my nearest and dearest. But the Spawn is fine, and adorable, and when mommy babbles and then whops herself on the head for saying something silly, she thinks that's hilarious. Anyway...back to the subject. Stupid fic ahoy.

AN: This is a very objectionable non-romance and I make no claim that it'll be to everyone's taste. It's also a different take on Kaku and Lucci's characters, a little more flawed and 'normal' than in some of my other fics, though part of this can be explained by the fact that they're younger than I usually write them.

The sky is falling and the horsemen of the apocalypse are buying their last round at the bar. I wrote het (okay, PG het, but still-) and most of the action is situated in a rose arbour. And nobody gets injured. End of days or what?

Response to a challenge by hakucho_cygnus who asked for some Mihawk het and mentioned Kalifa in the following sentence. And thus the plot bunny of the apocalypse was born. The scary thing is, I'm not even the only one, runic_binary spawned ficcage on this pairing as well. There are now TWO Mihawk/Kalifa fics in existence. Be afraid, be very afraid...

I've spent the last two days watching the % bar on a product build and its attendant resource consumption, waiting for a bug to obligingly reproduce itself. But at least I had the time to write. Not anything downright intelligent - the % bar killed my brain by inches - but at least I had time to write something.

A little present for runic_binary for this fic because it made me laugh uproariously on a Monday, of all things, and because the image jumped out at me. And because us CP9 junkies MUST stick together. I drew this quite fast (for me) so it's rough in places, but the fact I could go from sketch to finished product in a matter of 1h30 might mean I'm improving a bit.

To be taken as pure, unadulterated humour, just like the fic.

Yet more fanart crack from yours truly. This time, I didn't only savage poor CP9, I took down Princess Tutu as well. I actually love Princess Tutu, which is not something I should be admitting if I want to keep my tough, no-nonsense semi-evil Mal image, but there ya go.

But first: I glanced at my user profile the other day and realized I am being watched by over 500 people. No wonder I had an itch between my shoulderblades...Though I presume a lot of them don't check my LJ often, particularly people from my GW and Naruto days, that leaves enough readers to join me in that restful sanatorium for the mildly insane when the men in the white coats eventually catch up with me. And I couldn't wish for better company ^___^

And now, for THE CRACK! (If you are wondering, yes, I am working on serious fics - 3 of them as a matter of fact - but it's slow going. Doing something like this relaxes me and makes me laugh and reminds me to not take anything too seriously).

I'm not very good at drawing, I'm definitely more at ease with the written word. These pics took me a ridiculous amount of time (thank god for Gimp, because wa-hay easier to correct the more horrible mistakes with that than with an eraser). I shouldn't even have tried to do this at all, but I had these images in my head and they wouldn't go away. I was aided and abetted by Oda-sama, who drew some wonderful characters that aren't all that hard to imitate - or rather, my amateurishness doesn’t glare as badly as with other series. Something else that helped is that CP9 wear black. That makes things so much easier ^^; I left some details and extremities voluntarily fuzzy for effect, which works a lot better than putting them in and getting it wrong IMO...I actually rather like the way it turned out, but then, when it comes to any pics with these characters, I am not difficult to please. There are not enough of them out there.

( Here's the damage. Enjoy these pics now, before Lucci recovers and gets back to me in an extremely terminal way for putting him through this. )

This won't become a habit.
