I is back (having forgotten to mention I was leaving in the first place)
Back from 2-week holiday in France. Stop. 8 hour jet-lag. Stop. Spawnlet pretty damn good but even a little bit of tetchiness in an airplane is too much alltogether. Stop. Am going to bed now. Stop. Might have ficcage in a week or so. Stop. G'night. Crashes.

Welcome back! Rest, sleep, relax! And make sure Spawnlet (whoo, graduation from tentacles and a beak to demonic-comic-character, way to go kiddo!) doesn't keep you up too much. Sounds like you had fun, on vacation. I'm glad. ^_^

yay travel. You are braver than i to travel with a Spawnlet!! (hey we're back to spawnlet!!) Not that, you know, i've got one, but if i did i think i'd be too stressed to enjoy it. Welcome home may you sleep the sleep of the well traveled. Oh and not get sick. For some reason every time i leave the country and come home i get sick when i get home. Which is perferable to getting sick while *out* of the country but still annoying. So be well and sleep happy. ^_^

Boy, oh boy do I sympathize. I returned from Istanbul on Saturday, which was a marathon flight involving changes of plane in Frankfurt and New York, and am struggling through a work day whilst feeling very very groggy.

Though you get major points for being courageous enough to travel with an infant.

When you've slept a bit, maybe you'll share some of your travel adventures with us... Were you visiting relatives in France? Or doing the purely tourist thing?

We were visiting relatives, and mainly it was babysitting on a grand scale ^^; Not much happened, but at least we got to see a lot of family!

Sounds like a very nice visit. I used to travel to Germany frequently while my grandmothers were still alive...

You don't know me from Eve, but just in case you're interested and you have a bit of time while baby is napping, I've posted my account of my travels through Turkey with an archaeological tour group on my blog.

I was wondering at the lack of OP-crackness. ;D Welcome back, and may I just say that you have just earned a bajillion brownie-points for braving an airplane with a Spawnlet of any variety? If I ever have children, they won't see an airplane until they're five, at least.
